An Egyptian Revelation: Why the War on Swine is Unwinnable
Why the war on pigs is un-winnable:
“A new fatwa published in Egypt determines that the source of all the existing pigs in the world is Jews, who were cursed by Allah. The new edict was issued by Sheikh Ali Osman from the Egyptian Waqf (Islamic Affairs and Endowments) ministry. Due to their Jewish roots, Sheikh Osman says, it is permissible to slaughter all the pigs. The religious scholar was quoted as saying by a Jordanian newspaper that he personally believes the source of the pigs is Jews and thus the consumption of pork meat is banned in Islam.” Reuters from various Arab media
The Shaikh said he is waiting an approval by the al-Azhar Fatwa Committee for his ground-breaking discovery that pigs used to be Jews. Which incidentally seems, in a convoluted way, to support Darwin’s theory on evolution (or is it rather quick devolution).
But how did some of 'them' escape the divine conversion? And why do many more of the shaikh's flock live like swine than them?
Now we also know why the Egyptian army cannot seem to win its war on pigs. It is a quagmire....
